FuturEnergy Tower Kits (guy wire version)

Designed specifically to compliment the entire FuturEnergy Wind Turbine range, these tower kits offer a simple, substantial and effective way to mount your turbine on your site. The 'sectional' design allows both Installers and the DIY enthusiast to install a 1KW turbine in any suitable location, with a minimum of additional materials and tools.

The 'Standard' kit is 7.5m tall, and is constructed of 2m sections of 48.3mm 'scaffold' tube lengths. Each tower 'tube' is interconnected by a simple joining section, allowing the tower to be built easily. Additional tower 'tubes' can be ordered separately, as can all other parts used to make these towers. This gives everyone the maximum level of flexibility when deciding on what tower size would be best to use in a specific location. If additional tower sections are to be added to the basic kit, then towers of 7.5m, 9.5m, 11.5m and so on, can be constructed. Please note that we advise the user/installer to use an additional set of guy wires for each additional 4m of tower height. This will ensure complete stability for even the tallest of towers.

The guy anchors and main tower base, and all other parts, are galvanised for complete weather protection, and are fabricated using 'heavy grade' steel, to minimise the risk of failure. All towers are guaranteed against defect and mechanical failure for 12 months. The tower base and guy anchors can be 'driven' into firm ground, and will provide suitable tower security when installed as instructed. For additional safety, and for installation on unsuitable ground, it is recommended that these parts are 'concreted' into place. For this reason, the kits all contain additional 'reinforcing bars' for use in concrete foundations.

Example 1 - To construct an 11.5m tower, order the Basic Tower Kit + Plain Tower Tube + Top Guy Tower Tube + Guy Wire Set (which will be adjusted to the correct length for the new tower height) + Guy Wire Protectors + Guy Tension Devices + Guy Wire Clamps. The additional Guy Wires will allow the installer to use 2 sets of guy wires, affixed to one set of Guy Anchors. If you would rather add a second set of Guy Anchors for the upper Guy Wires, please also order the Guy Anchor Sets shown above. Total cost for this 11.5m tower will therefore be - £295 + £25 +£35 +£20 +£2 +£10 +£10 = £397+VAT (£466.48) + Postage.

Example 2 - To construct a 13.5m tower, order the Basic Tower Kit + Two Plain Tower Tubes + Top Guy Tower Tube + Guy Anchor Set + Guy Wire Set (which will be adjusted to the correct length for the new tower height) + Guy Wire Protectors + Guy Tension Devices + Guy Wire Clamps. The additional Guy Wires will allow the installer to use 2 sets of guy wires. The upper set of guy wires should be anchored to the additional set of Guy Anchors. This will ensure that any additional stresses resulting from the additional tower height will be absorbed by the additional guy anchors. If space is at a premium, it is possible to use only one set of Guy Anchors for this height of tower, but these MUST be concreted into position, irrespective of ground firmness or type. This will ensure that the guy anchors will not 'pull out' of the ground under the additional forces generated by the additional tower height.  Total cost for this 13.5m tower will therefore be - £295 + £50 +£35 +£75 +£20 +£2 +£10 + £10 = £497+VAT (£583.98) + Postage.
