Terms and Conditions
We supply to the UK and
overseas. For overseas orders we will require your card details to be
cleared before shipping goods. Payment can also be made by cheque drawn
on a UK bank. Contact us for prices and shipping costs.
Conditions
of Sale
The Consumer Protection
(Distance selling) Regulations 2000 is the latest law covering online
retailing. (These
regulations do not apply to business to business transactions).
A customer has
the right to cancel an order for goods within 7 working days of
receipt of the goods.
Notification of
intention to cancel should be received by Energy and Environment Ltd within the cooling off period in writing. “Writing”
includes letter or e-mail sent to Energy and Environment Ltd
at its registered address. A telephone call is not acceptable.
On receipt of notice
within the cooling off period Energy and Environment Ltd will refund
the retail sale price of the goods if - and only if - they are returned in
a re-saleable condition. The goods are to be cared for by the customer at
their own risk.
The cost of
returning goods once the customer has cancelled the order during the
cooling off period must be paid for by the customer and will not be paid
by Energy and Environment Ltd.
Any refunds due will be will
be completed within 30 days of the receipt of the goods in re-saleable
condition back to Energy and Environment Ltd. Refunds will be made by
cheque or by re-crediting the customer’s credit card if the original
purchase was made using a credit card.
For orders cancelled before goods are
shipped out we reserve the right to charge a fee which will cover the
costs of re-stocking the items(s) plus the refund charge made by the
credit card company to return money to the customer's card.
The prices
shown on our site are the prices you are asked to pay, they include UK
VAT at the current rate of 17.5%. All prices shown are UK pounds
sterling. Delivery charges of £4.00 per order unless otherwise stated. Larger
items are shipped at whatever our carriers charge to us.
Payment can be made online with VISA,
Mastercard, Switch, Solo, American Express with secure payments guaranteed
by WORLDPAY
You can also phone or email your
order to us. We will phone you back to check your order, billing
and delivery address and card security details before using Worldpay
Access to process the order in exactly the same way as if you had paid
online. Our security policy (see below)
covers online credit card and personal details.
WorldPay have been authorising online
credit and debit card transactions since 1993, and are the UK's largest
authoriser of this type of payment. Every day they process over a million
transactions. Their corporate clients include John Lewis, Oxfam, Halifax
Card Services, FT, Unilever, and many more. Their systems are
bank-endorsed and use 2048 bit encryption (very, very high), so your
credit card and personal details are always secure.
Cheques (made payable
to Energy and Environment Ltd) can be sent with orders to Energy and
Environment Ltd, 91 Claude Road, Manchester M21 8DE. Allow 3-10 days for
clearance.
Credit card payments will generally only
be processed when the goods are ready to be despatched. Sending details
via this website is an "offer to buy". and the buyer should
verify that all details are correct before completing the order. An email
confirmation of some of the "offer to buy" details is sent when
you complete the online order - this is not a receipt of payment. A
contract is deemed to exist when we accept the order and take payment.
Additional information may be requested
for some orders. We will always require card security details. We
reserve the right to refuse to supply any goods, without explanation.
Goods only sold subject to availability.
E & OE. While every effort is made to ensure that prices and
descriptions are up to date and correct it is sometimes necessary to alter
prices without notice due to currency fluctuations and other reasons. We
will always inform you if prices go up (or down) before we process your
order. Any changes will be notified by email / telephone.
It is the responsibility of the purchaser
to ensure that the payment/s process without problem and that the item you
being ordered is correct for its intended use. Inkjet and laser cartridges
are not sold on a trial basis. Please ensure that you have selected the
correct inkjet or laser cartridge for your machine. If in doubt enquire by
email.
We
cannot do Third Part technical support.
Delivery
Please allow up to
14 days for delivery of most products, unless otherwise stated.
All recorded and courier deliveries MUST
be signed for. It is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure that
someone will be available at the delivery address to sign for the goods.
If no-one is available and the goods are returned to us the purchaser will
be responsible for outgoing and return carriage charges. Any refund made
will be less these amounts. Delivery charges for non- defective returns
are not refundable.
Delivery days means normal working days (
Monday to Friday, excluding bank holiday, Christmas / New years eve). We
cannot accept responsibility for delays caused by Royal Mail and / or
other courier service. If there is an issue about missing goods or late
arrival of goods send us an email
and we will chase it up with the carriers.
Delivery to Northern
Ireland and the Scottish Highlands and Islands incur greater delivery
costs. We will contact customers in these regions of the UK with delivery
cost figures.
Returns &
guarantees
Goods are guaranteed for varying periods
from date of purchase (check the site for details), for defects in
manufacture or materials. We will replace defective goods if required as
agreed with the customer but reserve the right to give a refund/part
refund in line with current legislation.
When signing for the goods remember to
check that the packaging is intact and sealed / unopened. Do not sign
for damaged goods. If you have any doubts about signing please call us
on 0161 881 1383 for advice.
If the packaging is sealed and unopened
at delivery and you then discover that the product is faulty or damaged
please email or call us immediately. Product returns due to defective
manufacture or possible damage in transit must be authorized by
ourselves and have a proper Returns Authorization number.
Please remember to take care of the goods
whilst they are in your possession. Goods returned damaged or used will
not be accepted. Return carriage in these cases is payable by the
customer. The goods should be insured (see your local post
office for details) and MUST be
unopened and in the original packaging.
Privacy and Security
We do not collect or store your
credit/debit card payment details. These are collected by WorldPay, our
payment services provider.
We are committed to protecting your
privacy and collect only data that is essential for us to provide you with
a service, to enable you to pay us for it, to allow us to communicate with
you and to help us understand your usage of the service with the aim of
improving it for you and other customers.
We do not share your personal information
with third parties, except as required to enable payment services to be
provided (as in the case of WorldPay, our payment processor) or as is
required by law. We may pass on aggregated information (such as statistics
on our website usage) to third parties, but this will not contain any
personal information that can be directly attributed to you.
As required by the UK Data Protection Act
1984, we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure
of information which you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access.
"Cookies" are small
pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's
hard drive. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the
contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item, to store
delivery addresses and 'remember' your details if you choose to register
with us. Our cookies do not contain any identifying information on
individuals, but are used to track site usage that enables us to develop
our website and ensure that high service standards are maintained.

problems
If for any reason
you want to complain about our service or products please email
us in the first instance
with as much information as you can give (products, problems, dates etc).
We will investigate and phone you back. We will always aim to deal with
complaints in a friendly and cooperative manner.
