STUDER Xtender
Pure Sine Wave Inverter /
Charger (Combi)
In its basic
application the Studer Xtender offers the normal functions of an
inverter, battery charger, transfer system and Smart-Boost. These
functions can be combined and controlled automatically for optimised
management of the energy available.
The Xtender has 2
programmable auxiliary contacts. They allow the Xtender to be used in
conjunction with existing inverters and can also be used to signal an
auto-start generator or an alarm. They can be programmed
via the RCC-02 ''nerve centre'' for various scenarios-ie. overload or
low battery voltage.
With the new Xtender
multiple units can be linked together to provide up to 3 times the
power. They can also be linked to provide a 3-phase system.
Up to 9
units can be joined to provide up to 24Kw 3-phase

Smart-Boost enables the user to
add the inverter power to another source; for instance a genset or
shorepower. This is possible even in the case of asymmetric loads.
It is also possible to add an Xtender to almost any other existing
inverter in order to increase the power available.

The graphic display provides state
of system information regarding the events that have occurred
and gives access to the many adjustable parameters of the
Xtender like the setting of the charge curve of the battery, the
programming of auxiliary relays and various operational
features. An SD card can be used to memorize parameters and
allow data transfer and software updates.
