Sunny Boy string
inverters can each process the power from 6 - 24 modules - depending
on inverter type.
Inverters
automatically shut down in the event of : High-Low grid AC voltage,
High/Low grid frequency, Grid failure; or Inverter malfunction.
In PV applications
the Sunny Boy inverters automatically adjust PV array loading to
provide maximum efficiency of solar panels by means of a maximal
power point tracker (MPPT).
All Sunny Boy Inverters are
tested to comply with UK G83 grid connection regulations

Warranty
All Sunny Boys are shipped with a 2 year warranty. The warranty can
be extended to 5 years upon customer request. After the warranty
period SMA offers inexpensive lump sum repair service

Monitoring & Display Options
All Sunny
Boy Inverters display or measure the following data:
- generated kWh
- input current & power
- values of PV voltage
- mains voltage and frequency
- operating hours
Display lids are
fitted to show this essential information. It can also be accessed
from a PC or a Sunny Boy Control unit by using a Powerline Modem with
the Sunny Boy inverter and via a socket modem in any mains voltage
socket (230VAC). Alternatively, use an RS232 (for single Sunny Boy
units) or RS435 (for up to 50 SB inverters).* Sunny Data Windows'
software can show this information on your PV (Free download from
www.sma.de).
Up to 4 SB units can
be monitored via a wireless Sunny Beam display if individual SB
transmitters are fitted to the inverters. Data can be recorded
through a Sunny Boy Control
Unit - taking data from up to 50 inverters and storing it for later
downloading
