Mastervolt’s 2V cells are available for horizontal as well as
vertical installation. The 2V elements, like the 12V versions, are
completely ‘dry’, as the electrolyte is retained in the gel
substance. Recombination causes the gases to be absorbed in the
gel during the charging process, resulting in safe and virtually
gas-free batteries. In addition, these batteries do not require
topping up.
The positive and negative battery plates are
insulated by a rubber separation. This, in combination with the
gel filling, makes these batteries ideal for long-term high charge
or discharge currents. AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat technology),
batteries, are more suitable for emergency power applications with
intensive charge / discharge cycles.

|
Suitable for cyclic as well as
stationary installations. |
|
|
Life-span of 10 to 20 years, under
normal conditions (at a surrounding temperature of 20ºC), max.
50% discharge when using the correct 3-stage charge equipment
and 3-stage alternator regulators. Temperature compensated
charging is a must. |
|
|
Maintenance-free, no gas formation, no
electrolyte leakage (not even when damaged). |
|
|
Global service by the Mastervolt
network. |
|
|
Extremely short recharge time
possible: up to 50% of the Ah capacity can be chosen as charge
current (IUoUo). |
|
|
Minimal self-discharging, the battery
can be stored for up to two years without requiring recharging
(at 20ºC). |
|
|
Recyclable; expired batteries can be
returned to Mastervolt. |
|
|
Unrestricted transport (non-hazardous
transport), IATA approved. |
|
|
Conformity: DIN 40742, SAN enclosure. |
Solid
connectors, corrosion-free with stainless steel bolts, 8 mm, are
supplied as standard to interconnect the 2V elements.
The service lifetime is
as defined in IEC 486. At Mastervolt, we define the end of the
service life time as being when a capacity of 80% of nominal
capacity is reached under a 20°C ambient temperature circumstance.
The service life time of the MVSV range is at least 15 years,
supported by practical experiences in the field since 1979. In
fact, accelerated life time tests have shown an average life
expectancy of over 22 years. |
