WANT AN 'OFF-GRID' or 'BACKUP' POWER SYSTEM ?

We design and supply complete Off-Grid Power Systems using wind/solar PV/generator - or a combination of these technologies.

We also design and supply Backup Power Systems for the UK, Europe and beyond which will switch to battery or generator power if a grid failure occurs.

For example,

1. a Sunny Backup-System can be installed alongside all SOLAR PV projects from 5Kwp to around 100Kwp. Easy to install and easy to extend later on.

2. a Studer Xtender combi inverter can switch between two different energy sources.

For example, switching from mains power to battery bank/generator system with no power interruption.

The backup system can be charged from off-peak mains electricity or from wind /solar power or from a fossil biodiesel generator.

The innovative LED lamp has very high luminous efficiency (white light : 13 Lux), low energy consumption (only 8W) and an average lifetime of 100.000 hours (22 working years).

Thanks to this, we can offer a small system with high performance, reduced weight, less space, fewer PV modules, batteries and components and therefore with lower initial and running costs.

ATIK� is composed of:
- 1 PV Module IS60P 60Wp 12V (this may vary by location)
- 1 Charge controller Rigel�12 - 12A - 12/24Volts
- 1 Led lamp complete with arm and lamp bracket
- 1 Lead acid dry battery 55Ah (this may vary by location)
- 1 Top of pole mount structure, inside diameter 6,5cm with adjustable tilt and azimuth (Tilt 10�- 30� - 45�)

MIRAM� A completely autonomous solar system used for the lighting of billboards and other signs.

The advantages of this system are: complete independence from grid, the lifetime of lamps (100.000 hours 22 working years!), the long lifetime of the photovoltaic modules (over 30 years), low working voltage (12VDC)and no need for excavation or cables connections. With very white light and low energy consumption, no maintenance, no bills to pay, etc� the cost of the whole system is amortizable in just a few years.

The high luminous intensity of this system, equal to 2.850 (*) LUX. It consumes only 36W per hour and can take the place of powerful lights (1.000-1.500 Watt) commonly used to light large areas such as tennis grounds, football grounds, industrial sites. recreational spaces, camping areas, etc�

It's completely autonomous and intelligent functioning is powered by only 2 photovoltaic modules IS90P 90Wp 12V that during the day charge the batteries, sized for an autonomy of 3 days no sun.
In the evening the morning-light function already built-in on the charge controller Istar Solar� Rigel�12 switches on the lamp that will then be switched off at sunrise.

For grid-connected turbines you can choose from VAWTs (Vertical Axis Wind Turbines) or HAWTs (Horizontal Axis Wind Turbines).

VAWTs are quieter and have lower mast heights and work better in lower wind speed conditions. The HAWTs arguably have higher annual outputs , especially at good wind speed sites.

The MERLIN 2 KW Generator (shown at left) is one example of a grid connected Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine..
